Rock Band

The new fad, Rock Band! My nephew got Rock Band for his Wii. That thing is pretty fun. We were at my sisters until almost 2am Saturday morning playing and now we are back again!!! It is definately addicting.

We have even planned a night of Rock Band tour on New Year's Eve! If you have a Wii you should try this game! If you like music, this is the game for you.

If you happen to be out in the country of NC on New Year's eve, drop on in! Just follow the awful signing and the banging of the drums, you'll find us, NO PROBLEM!!!! LOL!!!!

Whew....

Christmas is a wonderful time of year, for a minute! My in-laws bought my girls so much stuff that Santa didn't need to come. Then we exchange gifts w/ my family today and they got even MORE! My house is a wreck. I know that is what I should expect w/ a three year old and a 1 1/2 yr old but oh my goodness.

Ugghhh....I am so ready for this week to be over so that my husband goes back to work. He is worse than the girls. I am trying to straigten up and he is letting them drag back out.

Sometimes I think I would be better off single! LOL!

We took our girls to see Santa last night! They were both ready to see him, they talked about him all the way to the mall. Well, when it was time to sit on his lap the excitement deminished! My 3 yr old refused to sit on his lap. Of course if sissy won't sit down must be something wrong w/ him, right? The 1 yr old lost all interest! Urggg....I really wanted a picture of my girls w/ Santa. The photographer said if we could get them to sit on this stool it would still work. Finally, after a fight w/ the 3 yr old we got them to sit down and we got a cute picture. I will be glad when they grow out of being scared of everything! Merry Christmas to all!

Hard Times

The holidays are here, gas prices are rising again, and our economy is awful right now! These sure are hard times! Christmas is supposed to be fun and exciting! Well, up until today, it has not been very fun and exciting. Our finances have been lacking in a BIG way! We just barely paid the bills this month. There was nothing left for Christmas gifts for our girls. I think I was almost getting depressed b/c I wasn't going to be able to do for my girls like I wanted to.

Well, last night I had my last party for the year. I made $200!!! Yay!!! I was excited, we really could use this money!!! Well, today was my husband's Saturday to work. One of his customers gave him $100 tip! No, he is not a stripper or anything like that! LOL! He is a service manager at a car dealership. He said the customer told him that he had helped her family out so much she wanted to give it to him. She later came back to pay her bill and handed him a card and left. When he opened the card it said Merry Christmas, do something for you and your wife, there was another $100 in the card. The customer sat in the parking lot until he opened it and when he looked up she waved and pulled off.

From the money I made at my party last night and this money from this angel, we were able to go tonight and get the girls the rest of the stuff we wanted to get them and a little bit more! I feel so much better now! I can't wait to see their faces on Thursday morning!!!

So, the point of my story is, in this lacking society we live in today, there are still angels out there! People who really do appreciate when someone goes the extra mile for them!

I don't know this lady that gave us this money but I can tell you where ever she may be, SHE IS APPRECIATED!!!!

The Sexual Response Cycle: Men vs. Women

If you were to look at a graphic illustration of men's and women's sexual responses, you'd see that the peaks and valleys don't match up. This difference may account for much of the frustration women and men experience in bed.

So what exactly is this sexual response cycle? It has four phases: excitement, plateau, orgasm, and resolution. His sexual response cycle looks like an upside-down U. It rises rapidly through the first two phases, reaches its peak at orgasm, and then declines sharply back down. (Sounds a lot like reality, right?)

A woman's arousal cycle, on the other hand, resembles a squiggly line. The excitement usually builds slowly and then plateaus after a certain point. It takes longer for most women to get there, but once they do, they can maintain their arousal for an indefinite amount of time. Arousal begins climbing again as orgasm approaches, but doesn't necessarily drop afterward, since more than one orgasm is possible.

How can you solve this seeming disparity? Two answers: foreplay and foreplay — whether it's more foreplay before he orgasms or continued foreplay after he orgasms. More foreplay beforehand gets your arousal on the same cycle, since he's lengthening the amount of time spent in the earlier phases. Foreplay after his orgasm continues the stimulation to help you orgasm. Keep in mind, though, as I said in my book, Secrets of the Sexually Satisfied Woman, an orgasm is not the measure of good sex for most women! Since a woman moves more fluidly through the sexual response cycle, she can go from a milder state of excitement to more intense arousal to orgasm, and then back down to excitement. Take advantage of it!

'Gold Wrapping Paper' _** I received this from a friend who had a choice to make. It said that I had a choice to make too. I've chosen. Now it's your turn to choose. The story goes that some time ago a mother punished her five year old daughter for wasting a roll of expensive gold wrapping paper. Whenever she was discouraged or faced diff icult problems she would open the box and take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the child who had put it there. In a very real sense, each of us, as human beings, have been given a Golden box filled with unconditional love * *and kisses from our children, family, friends and GOD. There is no more precious * *possession anyone could hold. * * Friends are like angels who lift us to our feet, when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.
